Guizhou Tire Expands Global Footprint with US$298 Million Morocco Plant!

CITEXPO 2026 exhibitor Guizhou Tire is taking another major step in its international expansion with plans to establish a new passenger car tire manufacturing facility in Morocco.

The company has completed key Chinese domestic approval and registration procedures for the planned facility, which will be located in Mohammed VI Tangier Tech City. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Guizhou Qianjin Tire Investment, received an overseas investment certificate from the Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce on August 11, following earlier approvals from relevant provincial authorities. The project represents an investment of approximately US$298.7 million, with construction expected to take around two years.

Once completed, the plant is designed to produce up to 6 million semi-steel radial tires annually, significantly expanding Guizhou Tire's production capacity for international markets.

The Morocco facility will become Guizhou Tire's second overseas production base after Vietnam, further strengthening the company's international manufacturing network. Its location in Tangier also provides strategic access to logistics and transport infrastructure connecting Morocco with Europe, Africa and other global markets. For Guizhou Tire, the new facility is expected to support more efficient access to international customers while strengthening the company's long-term global presence.
