Powering Modern Mining: Prinx Chengshan Introduces 30.00R51 Giant OTR Tire

Prinx Chengshan, a confirmed exhibitor at the China International Tire and Wheel Expo (CITEXPO) 2026, has recently reached a significant milestone in off-the-road (OTR) tire manufacturing. On January 19th 2026, the company successfully rolled off its first giant OTR tire—the 30.00R51 model—at its green and intelligent OTR tire factory. The milestone event was attended by Liu Jinjun, Deputy Secretary of the Rongcheng Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Rongcheng, along with senior executives from Chengshan Group and Prinx Chengshan Holdings, highlighting the strategic importance of this achievement.

With an outer diameter of nearly three meters and a single-unit weight of approximately 1.8 tons, the 30.00R51 tire is engineered for ultra-large dump trucks used in open-pit mining operations. Designed to handle vehicles carrying loads of over 120 tons, the tire features wide and deep lateral tread grooves for strong traction and grip in harsh working conditions. Its innovative shoulder cooling groove design enhances heat dissipation, reducing safety risks such as blowouts and delamination while ensuring stable and reliable performance.

In response to growing global demand driven by infrastructure development and mining modernization, Prinx Chengshan launched the construction of its green and intelligent OTR tire factory in 2025. With a total investment exceeding RMB 1.1 billion and an annual production capacity of 84,000 engineering tires and 10,000 giant tires, the facility reflects the company’s commitment to high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing.

Looking ahead, Prinx Chengshan will continue to leverage its global R&D network across Asia, Europe, and North America to strengthen independent innovation. By advancing its “Product + Service” strategy, the company aims to deliver efficient and reliable tire solutions for global mining and industrial customers.
